On August 16, four Armenian athletes will compete at the Olympic Games in Rio, and three of them will be competing for a gold medal.
Greco-Roman style wrestler Mihran Harutyunian (66 kg weight category) will start in the 1/8 final stage and will face off against Egyptian wrestler Adham Kahk. If he wins, Mihran will face off against the winner of the Thomas Lorinz (Hungary) and Hansu Riu (South Korea) match. The battle will begin at 17:20 Yerevan time.
Artur Alexanian (98 kg weight category) will also start in the 1/8 final stage and will face off against Italian wrestler Daigoro Timoncini. If Artur makes it to the quarter final, he will face off against the winner of the Tsiurariu Alexus (Romania) and Hamdi Mustafa Abdelvahab (Egypt) match. The battle will begin at 17:30 Yerevan time.
Weightlifter Gor Minasian (105+ weight category) will start at 02:00 Yerevan time.
