The events dedicated to the 25th anniversary of the declaration of independence of the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic are kicking off today. According to the plan posted on the website of the NKR National Assembly, a lesson entitled “The Nagorno-Karabakh Republic is 25 Years Old” will be held in all schools of Artsakh, athletic and cultural events will be held at Renaissance Square in Stepanakert, and the military orchestra will give a concert in the central grove of Stepanakert.
The September 2 events will be launched with a march from Renaissance Square to the local memorial complex and will be followed by a wreath-laying ceremony at the memorial complex in Stepanakert. Open-air festivities will be held in different sectors of Stepanakert, and an exhibition called “History of the Circulation of Coins of Armenia” will be opened at the Culture and Youth Palace of the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic. The hostel complex of Shushi will also open on that day. The festive concert will be followed by a fireworks display at Renaissance Square.
The events will continue with the opening of a new quarter-district in the Aghavno village of Kashatagh region on September 3.
