Artsakh independence is an established fact, Eduard Sharmazanov, Deputy Speaker of the Armenian National Assembly, Chairman of Armenia-Argentine parliamentary friendship group stated at a meeting with Argentine State Secretary for Human Rights Claudio Avruj. To Sharmazanov’s words, unlike Azerbaijani Khanate, democracy is being built in Artsakh. He next added that Turkey and Azerbaijan represent the primary threat to the regional security.
According to the statement, released by Armenia’s National Assembly press department, Edward Sharmazanov, who is on a working visit to Argentine, reflected on the anti-Armenian policy run in Azerbaijan, pointing out to numerous cases.
Sharmazanov also condemned the cultural genocide committed by Azerbaijan, recalling the destruction of the Armenian century-old cemetery consisted of thousands of khachkars in Jugha – in once Armenian-populated Nakhijevan.
