On September 9, the signing ceremony of the Supplement to the Joint Action Plan between the Government of the Republic of Armenia and the Government of the United States of America on Combating Smuggling of Nuclear and Radioactive Materials (signed on July 14, 2008, in Washington) took place at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Armenia.
The Document was signed by Ashot Hovakimian, Deputy Foreign Minister of Armenia, and Richard Mills Jr., the US Ambassador to Armenia. Purpose of the Supplement is to develop and expand Armenia-US cooperation in the field of combating the smuggling of nuclear materials.
