Answering the question whether newly appointed Prime Minister Karen Karapetyan will eliminate the polarization of the society, head of Armenian National Congress (HAK) faction, Levon Zurabyan said that he thinks “replacing anyone in this defective system will change nothing.”
“Eventually, however good personal approach someone has, he’s dealing with the same majority of the National Assembly, without the support of which he cannot do his job. When we ask ourselves whether this regime has decided to eliminate monopolies and corruption, everyone sees the obvious answer. In this case, the appointment of a new Prime Minister is only an imitation of a better image of the same regime,” the opposition member said.
According to Zurabyan, they don’t think any promises of change will deceive anyone in Armenia.
