September 15,2016 10:15

Shant Khayalian having lost 5 businesses in Syria and living in welfare has moved to Armenia from Syria 3.5 years ago.  He did not want to continue any of his various businesses in Armenia but has chosen his favorite hobby – the production of natural soaps.  The entrepreneur started his business in Armenia with small production.  Mostly preparing at home, the production grew and attracted the attention of local consumers.  Studying the market, Shant Khayalian has chosen the production of natural soap as according to him this trend is not developed here.  He has prepared soap in Syrian soap too but not for sale but as a gift, “One day, I saw that I am preparing and giving away 5-10 kilograms of soap every week and not cut in pieces but nicely designed.  In the meantime, I began to develop the business and start selling it,”- noted the entrepreneur in an interview with Aravot. He had learned how to make soap from his grandmother, “My grandmother was also a soap-maker and was always making her soap at home.”

The soap is prepared exclusively by using pure, natural raw materials, herbs, milk, fruits and vegetables, wheat and palm milk, pomegranate and grape, oregano and chamomile raw materials.  The expert notes that the soaps also have anti-inflammatory, anti-cellulite, anti-aging features.  He also produces 12 kinds of shampoos: anti-hair loss and for other problems.  “In the future, we will have our website and our store.  We also have numerous suggestions for export: Georgia, Russia and Iraq, and are waiting for the final agreement to start the deal,” – said the Syrian-Armenian businessman.

Shant Khayalian’s production is known under the name of Beauty Product.  Anahit Stepanyan also cooperates with him with her “Tsirane” brand. She prepares soap with interesting design and usefulness, ranging from clay variety up to soap from goat’s milk, ginger, sesame and flax.  As Anahit Stepanyan said, as we had an Armenian queen by the name Tsirane and she had a special attitude towards Armenian herbs and body care products, therefore, I named my brand “Tsirane”.  “Today, the market is full of poor quality products.  It is clear that there is a social problem, and the fact that people do not approach their care gently, but everyone who tries our soap and sees the result, starts using natural staff,” – noted Anahit Stepanyan in an interview with us, adding that it is better for a man to have one or two good quality care staff than many others with smells and chemical staff.

Anahit told us that given the different whims of female, she had made different soaps with more than 10 ingredients.  “For example, the French are fond of soap made especially from goat milk, while capricious Armenian ladies prefer in strips with coffee, cocoa, ginger and cinnamon, or in the combination of yellow and black clay,” – said Anahit Stepanyan.  She said that they clean the peels of citrus fruits with special materials for a long time and then get the appropriate oil and then use it in making soap.
