Under the “Yerevan Perspectives” 17th International Music Festival, on September 14, Aram Khachatryan concert hall hosted the concert of the Estonian famous “Hortus Musicus” ensemble.
As the Artistic Director, conductor and exclusive violinist Andres Mustonen mentioned, this is a special day for him as he was awarded the Gold Medal of the RA Ministry of Culture.
The renowned musician said that he performed in Armenia 25-30 times on different years and jokingly added that he will still perform 1000 more times. “Armenia seems to be my house,” said Andres Mustonen with enthusiasm. The concert program included a shining renaissance and a brilliant Baroque.
The “Hortus Musicus” magnificent concert truly ignited the hall, and the warmth of the audience and the powerful energy and enthusiasm coming from the stage admixed. Obviously, there was no shortage of bravos. On September 15, “Hortus Musicus” will perform in Byurakan’s Arts Academy with a completely different program, which will include Jewish songs, traditional music, and excerpts from “Carmina Burana” series.
