The second round of the “Cultural Organization-school” project kicks off on September 19, during which schoolchildren of the RA bordering communities will visit cultural centers in Yerevan: theater, opera house, and concert halls.  The journalists learned about this from Armine Khachatryan, the head of the Department of Cultural Programs and Monitoring of the Ministry of Culture, at the “Arno Babajanyan” Concert Hall.  She informed that this time, the program will include students also from Talish, Martakert and Mataghis, “The enthusiasm that the children had in the first round is impossible to describe.  The program is a success.”

Gagik Manasyan, Director of the State Philharmonic of Armenia, said that the program has a cognitive significance, “We conducted a sociological poll, asking the children to answer the question of where they would like to be in Yerevan.  Zoo has nothing to do with the cultural program but we included the visit to the Zoo in the program too, especially since it was mentioned by the Artsakh schoolchildren.  The majority of children from arrived from marzes are in Yerevan for the first time.  There is also a cognitive component in the visit.  For example, if they are going to view “Anush” opera, before the performance, they are making a tour of the building and even see how they actors are putting the make-up.”

Gagik Manasyan said that among other facilities, the schoolchildren will visit the National Gallery, the Museum of the Defense Ministry, the Museum of Komitas, and will attend a folk music concert in “Arno Babajanyan” concert hall to be acquainted with national musical instruments in a combination of light sound and theatrical elements.  To add that the “Cultural Organization-School” program includes 3000 schoolchildren.
