As Aravot.am reports, Levon Altunyan will hold the post of health minister. He is currently the executive director of the “Ingo Armenia” insurance company. According to our information, Mr. Altunyan has visited the Presidential Palace with the Acting Health Minister Armen Muradyan and met with President Serzh Sargsyan. Levon Altounyan, in an interview with us, did not deny this information.
Mr. Altunyan said that he has passed the interview at the RA President’s and the Prime Minister, “I think I have left a good impression on them but I can clearly say after I am officially appointed.” Appointing Mr. Altunyan a Health Minister, essentially, will be tomorrow or the day after tomorrow or early next week. As reported by our sources, Levon Altunyan and RA Prime Minister Karen Karapetyan are friends since childhood, and the Prime Minister trusts him too much. As reported by our source, Mr. Altunyan is a physician by profession and is well aware of the health sector.

In 1979-1985 – he studied at the Yerevan State Medical University. In 1986-1989 – he worked as a physician-anesthetist at the Hrazdan central regional hospital, and in 1989-1995 – he worked in the Scientific Research Institute of Traumatology and Orthopedics again as a physician-anesthesiologist. In 1995-1999, Mr. Altunyan was the Director of “Argo” Ltd.
