Istanbul, indeed, is the city of most unlikely combinations, moreover, not only with architecture but also in terms of mindsets of citizens and different social groups. Quite recently, the Turkish nationalists have made the following writings on the walls near Kalfayan seminary, Üsküdar district, “Let the Turkish race live” and on the walls of Surp haç Tibrevank “Suffering to Armenian”. Next to this, we came across to graffiti and writings (in the photo) in different corners of Istanbul with similar content of very tough condemnation of racism.
