Garo Paylan, the Turkish-Armenian politician representing the People’s Democratic Party in the Grand National Assembly, has announced a plan to sue President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, reports Tert.am.
The politician is particularly angered by Erdogan’s racist remark made at a public demonstration in Trabzon. “Remember what I was telling you. Aren’t we supposed to die some day? But one can die a manly death; otherwise it is possible to die also like a nadame,” the president said, referring to European or Christian women.
Paylan calls attention to the use of “madame” in Erdogan’s speech, causing the crowd to chant insulting slogans against Armenians.
“People are hurling foul words at Armenians, with nobody interfering. I am going to bring an indictment tomorrow,” Paylan says in a post on Twitter.
