Number of roads barely passable in Armenia

There are barely passable roads in Armenia as of 10:00 am, on October 18, according to the press service of Ministry of Emergency Situations.

Precipitation in the form of snow has been recorded in Lori and Gegharkunik regions, Aparan town of Aragatsotn region, Hrazdan and Charentsavan towns of Kotayk region, Kapan town of Syunik region, Dilijan town of Tavush region, Artik, Maralimk and Ashotsk areas of Shirak region.

According to the source, Vanadzor-Stepanavan, Sotk-Karvachar motorways, the 25-30 km of the Yerevan-Sevan highway Sisian-Goris, Vayk-Saravan, Dilijan pass are barely passable.

Meanwhile, Lars checkpoint is open for passenger vehicles with antiskid chains, while the road will open for the trucks in the afternoon, Emergency Situations Department of Georgia’s Interior Ministry said.
