The agreement on the new supply of arms to Armenia from Russia is not excluded. Such an estimation was made by a limitary expert, editor of “Razminfo” website, Karen Vrtanesyan, in an interview with Aravot.am. Earlier, Sergey Minasyan informed that there is such an agreement. “At this point, as long as this transaction is not executed, I will not say what weapons will be provided to Armenia. But the fact that such agreements exist, and I think, they will be fulfilled in the short term, we will see,” – he said.
Commenting on this information, Karen Vrtanesyan particularly told to Aravot.am, “I cannot comment on the words of other people without being aware of what sourced they are based on. In all cases, I think that some discussions have taken place behind the closed doors regarding the supply of arms, however, hardly anyone would know the details of it except for the participants of the discussion and their close circle. Anyway, the listed types of armaments are not new, it is already clear from the existing agreements that Armenia is receiving heavy offensive weapons from Russia, including the mentioned “Solntsepyok” flame-throwers, “Smerch” systems as well as anti-tank modern facilities. It is also not excluded to obtain new agreements on the purchase of weapons in recent days, and not only from Russia.” Note that according to our sources, new supplies will begin late in this month.
