“Blitzkrieg, this is the essence of an aggressor. The defending side is getting ready for a long-term war. We have not said in any way that we are going to attack, or are conducting an aggressive policy. However, this does not mean that we ignore the Azerbaijani danger for it is a Nazi state, an aggressive state, and an anti-Armenian state. At any moment, it can resort to provocative actions … in the case of aggression, we are going to give a powerful counterattack and will do everything for the long-term military operation transfer deep in Azerbaijan,” – said the NKR Presidential Spokesman David Babayan in an interview with Aravot.am.
Addressing the former commander of the Nagorno-Karabakh Defense Army, Samvel Babayan’s claims that Azerbaijan is getting ready for a long-run war, Mr. Babayan continued, “Let’s think a little, which is the long-run war, and when the state is getting ready for a long-run war. Is there a precedent in history when the aggressor is getting ready for a war? The aggressor never gets ready for a long-run war because the aggressor wants the war to end as soon as possible, to attack and seize the opponent in a short time. No aggressive state gets ready for a long-run war so that its population would not experience much hardship.”
Former Commander of Nagorno-Karabakh Defense Army, Samvel Babayan, also argues that Azerbaijan is building factories to manufacture missiles, shells and solve the issue of their railroad. Azerbaijan is going to a large-scale and long-run war, simply we do not want to analyze it correctly,” while David Babayan disagreeing with these observations presented his observations, “I highly doubt that Azerbaijan is capable of creating missiles, moreover, that they could be qualified. They do not have this potential. It is cheaper to buy these weapons from different states than to produce, why to prepare if they do not have scientific and technical potential. The missiles prepared by them will yield to the produce of the countries that have a developed military-industry in 100 %. Let them produce, so much the better, the great part of it will not be worthy of using at all, and again expenditures and it is going to be a great burden for them.”
