Azerbaijani’s President Illham Aliyev has expressed willingness to meet Armenia’s President Serzh Sargsyan within the framework of the settlement of the Nagorno Karabakh conflict. According to the report of Ria Novosti Russian news agency OSCE Minsk Group Co-chair James Warlick has informed about this during the press conference held in Baku.
“I myself have talked to Azerbaijani’s President Illham Aliyev. He announced that he commits to the peaceful settlement of Nagorno Karabakh conflict and expressed willingness to have a meeting in order to consider the offers. There are concrete ideas to be discussed. We will also discuss the next meeting to be organized between the presidents regarding the settlement of Karabakh conflict. Azerbaijani’s president has expressed willingness to meet Armenia’s president within the framework of this issue,” Warlick announced.
The Azerbaijani media reports that during the press conference Warlick has also touched upon the issue of the implementation of agreements reached in Vienna and St. Petersberg.
“I believe that Azerbaijani’s President Illham Aliyev is willing to consider the offers and to hold discussions with Armenia’s president. We are willing to continue the work aimed at making the sides carry out the responsibilities acquired In Vienna and St. Petersberg. We will discuss these issues during the next meeting between the presidents,” Warlick noted.
