Days ago Prime Minister Karen Karapetyan in the interview given to TV stations stated that there was not a problem in terms of importing any goods. According to the information of Aravot. am, several days ago taking into account this statement one of the businessman imported a truck of bananas. Although the customs officers and the Food Safety Inspection did not create any problems at the customs station of Bagratashen, after entering Armenia the truck was stopped by a group of people, who as later turned out, were the “people” of former head of Judicial Acts Compulsory Enforcement Service, Mihran Poghosyan.
The latter was also there, who introduced himself as “General Poghosyan” and warned the importer not to make such a “mistake” any more, offering him as a manifestation of good will to buy the whole batches. To the importer’s statement that he had imported banana taking into account the Prime Minister’s announcement “everyone can import”, Mihran Poghosyan said “Do not believe fairytales”.
