In opinion of Doctor in Political Sciences, Hayk Martirisyan we do not have the right to condemn or discuss the statement of Minsk Group Co-Chiar James Warlick as the Armenian authorities are negotiating on this option that the American Co-Chair has announced. During the meeting with journalists at ”Hayatsq” press club Mr. Martirosyan said,
– Warlick’s statement is not pleasing to the Armenian side at all. But we should understand what the Armenian side is. Is it the Armenian people, the Armenian society or the Armenian authorities?”
According to Hayk Martirosyan, the RA authorities are negotiating on this option that Warlick speaks about.
– If a state that the RA authorities represent does not come out from the content of the negotiation packet that is on the table and defines territories for the recognition with which Azerbaijan does not agree because on the level of the president has announced that they are ready to give Artsakh self-governance but never recognize the independence, then we do not have the right to discuss the statements made by Warlick because we are negotiating on that content.”

Speaking about the possible Aliev-Sargsyan meeting, Mr. Martirosyan considered it possible and noted,
– ”Can he go without meetings?’’
According to the Doctor in Political Sciences, those meetings cannot give us anything positive until we refuse the negotiation packet with such content,
– “Instead of refusing to negotiate with the country that went for aggressive and military actions, we started to negotiate more intensively after April. This means that the content of the negotiation packet has not changed, and each negotiation will worsen our situation.”
