The number of Ukrainian MPs advocating adoption of a resolution recognizing the Armenian Genocide increases. MPs representing different factions have embraced Vitaly Barvinenko’s bill on recognizing the Armenian Genocide, Genocide.org.ua informs.
According to the source, Sviatash Dmytro from “Party Revival”, Dobkin Mykhailo and Dobkin Dmytro from “Opposition Bloc” party have joined the resolution recognizing the Armenian Genocide introduced on April 3, 2015. Months ago several other members of different Ukrainian parliamentary factions joint the legislative initiative of Armenian Genocide recognition proposed.
According to the information, 12 MPs representing both opposition and the ruling party have joint the initiative of Armenian Genocide recognition. Chairman of Union of Armenians of Ukraine Vilen Shatvoryan had stated, “We are grateful to the Ukrainian MPs for their devotion to justice”.
