President Serzh Sargsyan received today delegation headed by the Co-Chair of the interparliamentary commission on cooperation of the RA National Assembly and RD Federal Duma Nikolay Ryzhkov. The delegation has arrived to Armenia to participate at the regular session of the commission.
The President of Armenia welcomed the guests and underscored that he was confident that the current session was conducted in a constructive atmosphere just like all previous sessions of the commission and discussed were bilateral issues of mutual interest aimed at the further strengthening of the Armenian-Russian partnership.
The interlocutors noted with satisfaction that thanks to the years-long activities of the interparliamentary commission, the relations between Armenia and Russia have acquired a steady and dynamic nature. The President of Armenia also praised the Armenian-Russian cooperation in the multilateral format. The parties stressed the importance of the consistent deepening of the strategic partnership between Armenia and Russia in all areas.
Nikolay Ryzhkov thanked President Sargsyan for the traditional welcome extended to his delegation after the Yerevan sessions of the interparliamentary commission and productive discussions. He presented to Serzh Sargsyan the results of the discussions held in a practical atmosphere and future programs. Underscoring that Russia has special relations with its strategic partner Armenia, the Co-Chair of the Armenian-Russian interparliamentary commission assured that the parliaments of the two states have been doing and will continue to do in the format of the commission their best to promote the further strengthening and deepening of the bilateral interstate relations.
