Drummer of the world-known Armenian-American rock band System of a Down John Dolmayan wants to adopt a child from Syria. By posting the photos of the child on his Instagram page he has asked his followers to provide any information about him.
“If anyone anywhere knows anything about this child in Syria I am looking to adopt him /her so please send any info FYI. I will raise the child Muslim if their heritage is so,” the artist wrote.
His social network followers have blessed him for his intention and have hoped that the child will be found.
One of the Instagram users has expressed hope that SOAD will raise awareness about Syria like it did with the 100th anniversary of the Armenian Genocide making a link between different genocides and massacres in contemporary history. He has suggested organizing a performance in Lebanon where 1.5 million Syrian refugees live.
