2016 World Sambo Championship came to its end in Sofia, Bulgaria. During the 3-day championship 5 out of 12 Armenian athletes won medals. The Press Service of the Sambo Federation of Armenia reports.
Particularly Asya Lalazaryan (48kg), Tigran Kirakosyan (52kg), Maxim Manukyan (57kg) and David Grigoryan (82kg) won bronze medals, and Vachik Vardanyan (68kg), who participated in combat sambo, won silver medal only being defeated in the final round.
