November 16,2016 16:28

Stepan Safaryan, Director of the Institute for International and Security Affairs, is not against the Russia-Armenia relations, he only thinks that they must be peer-to-peer.  He voiced his approaches during the discussions on Armenia-NATO and Armenia-EU cooperation.  The discussion for various non-governmental organizations and students in Vayk was organized by the Analytical Center on Globalization and Regional Cooperation.  Stepan Safaryan has his own perception of the Armenia-Russian friendship and federation, they must not be one-sided.

He also believes that our relations with the EU, NATO and other international organizations is no less important for the security of our country, hence, he is confident that we have to preserve the relations of Armenia with these international platforms.  Stepan Safaryan also hopes that Russia-West relations will also enter a normalization phase in the foreseeable future which will create further great opportunities for Armenia.
