On November 15, Foreign Minister of Armenia Edward Nalbandian received Gabriela Abado, Deputy Director General of the International Centre for Migration Policy Development.
Welcoming Gabriela Abado in Yerevan, Minister Nalbandian commended the establishment of the representation of the International Centre for Migration Policy Development in Armenia. The Minister said that for years the organization has carried out a number of migration-related programs and contributed to the increase of the efficiency of border management.
Expressing gratitude for the reception, Mrs. Abado said that the International Centre for Migration Policy Development is interested in deepening relations with Armenia, and the opening of office in Yerevan is the proof of that interest.
The interlocutors exchanged views on the cooperation between Armenia and the European Union in the field of mobility, the process of implementation of agreements on visa facilitation and readmission, the possibility of visa liberalization in future.

Referring to the collaboration with Armenia, the Deputy Director General of the International Centre for Migration Policy Development attached importance to the effective cooperation with the interested bodies of Armenia. She added, that the Armenian experience of receiving and integrating refugees can serve as an example for other countries.
At the end of the meeting Edward Nalbandian and Gabriela Abado signed the Agreement on the Establishment of the Yerevan Office of the International Centre for Migration Policy Development.
