Armenian Armed Forces serviceman Ivan Hayrapetyan was found dead in Tavush on Nov. 17, according to the Investigative Committee of Armenia. Hayrapetyan’s body was discovered at the checkpoint building of the Armenian Armed Forces base in Tavush at around 9:50 p.m., according to a statement released by the committee.
Hayrapetyan, who served as a machine-gunner in the infantry battalion in Tavush, was reportedly found with gunshot wounds to his mouth and head. The Investigative Committee said that it has launched criminal proceedings into this incident and that an investigation is underway to determine the circumstances behind the incident.
