On 19 November NKR Prime Minister Arayik Harutyunyan met with the members of the organizing committee and editorial board of the conference entitled “Heritage of Aristotle in the Context of the Armenian Culture (Aristotle Readings)” dedicated to the 25th anniversary of the NKR independence.
During the meeting with the prominent intellectuals from the Yerevan State University and Matenadaran the Prime Minster has welcomed the initiative of holding such an important event in Artsakh considering it an important stimulus for the development of the education sphere in Karabakh.
“It is encouraging to see that such prominent scientists from the two important scientific centers of Armenia have contributed to the organization of this conference. I believe that your participation in this event will greatly promote scientific development in Artsakh, as well as will establish new basis for further cooperation with Nagorno Karabakh Republic. It is pleasant to hold this conference in Gandzasar, as for more than two decades it has turned into a target of military operations, but due to the blood of our Armenian soldiers we managed to save this monastery. And to the delight of us all, Gandzasar has become not only a spiritual but also a scientific center,” Prime Minister Harutyunyan noted in his speech.
The members of the organizing committee and editorial board of the conference thanked A. Harutyunyan for the special attention he showed towards the science. They also expressed readiness to contribute to the promotion of science in Artsakh. The parties exchanged views and agreed to make the cooperation continuous.
