On November 18, Edward Nalbandian, Foreign Minister of Armenia, received the representative parliamentary delegation, headed by Konstantin Kosachev, Chairman of the Committee for Foreign Affairs of the Federation Council of Russia.
During the meeting, the sides touched upon the further strengthening of the Armenian-Russian allied strategic relations based on centuries-old friendship between the two nations, the process of implementation of agreements reached between the top leaders of Armenia and Russia.
The Foreign Minister of Armenia and the Russian Parliamentarians discussed in details a wide range of issues related to the close cooperation between the two Parliaments, exchanged views on the cooperation within the parliamentary formats of international organizations.
In the course of the meeting, the situation in the Middle East and, particularly, in Syria, as well as the possible ways to overcome the crisis were discussed. The interlocutors focused on the issue of the Syrian Armenians, the efforts exerted by Armenia to help them.

Minister Nalbandian informed on the situation created in the result of large-scale aggression unleashed by Azerbaijan against Artsakh in April, as well as emphasized the need to implement the agreements reached during the Vienna and Saint-Petersburg Summits.
Upon the guests’ request, the Foreign Minister of Armenia presented the cooperation between Armenia and the Diaspora.
Edward Nalbandian touched upon the priorities of Armenia’s foreign policy, answered numerous questions of the guests.
