Minister of Culture, Armen Amiryan, and Artavazd Peleshyan spoke about the film “Homo Sapiens” by the famous film director. “Finally, we talked about the script, he displayed a positive attitude in this matter,” said Artavazd Peleshyan at the meeting with the journalists at the Ministry of Culture. Recall that “Homo Sapiens” film is not screened for decades, the required 50 million dollars financing is nowhere. “In 1968, an application was submitted and in 1979 I have given the final version to “Hayfilm” which was stoned. “Goskino” (the USSR State Committee for Cinematography in the Soviet Union) gave a state order but the country collapsed and my film remained under the ruins…,” regretfully lamented the film director and then added, “I have come to the conclusion that there will be no film because of talking much about it, which we should not, perhaps the failure was caused by this… We decided to split the huge amount in five years and thus shoot the film.”
Artavazd Peleshyan also said that they might turn to the rich for the financing of five million dollars per year. And before that, next year, the eminent Peleshyan is planning to shoot a documentary film by the name “Elements”. “Perhaps, the name “Nature” is more suitable. The film is about the earth and elements,” he said.
