Recently, I read with an excitement on the internet that someone named Mary (I do not remember the last name) has dyed her hair. Since this news was “reproduced” on several websites, I assume that Mary has thousands of fans who are not indifferent to the color of her hair and feel a shock every time when this color is changed. This is also evidenced by the number of “likes” and discussions.
This is normal, people, especially the youth, should not constantly think about serious problems, they should have an opportunity for fun and entertainment. As to who has fun and how it depends on the taste and world outlook.
But it is not normal when the news designed for fun and entertainment are provided as serious and crucially essential for the nations and go over and over for weeks and months, so to speak, alter between “yes” and “no.” The precise examples of these topics are presented in “Armtimes” in Anna Hakobyan’s article “Will Tsarukyan return to the politics or not, will Victor create his party or not, will Seyran Ohanyan join this political party or not (hopefully, the dear general will not do it). As one flavor of elite life, it is certainly interesting just like it is interesting to know that color Mary prefers to dye her hair. But to present them as very fundamental issues on which the future of our country depends, this is already an exaggeration for me.
Clearly, it is advantageous for a bureaucrat sitting in Baghramyan 26, government, defense military and in another ministry that the above-mentioned issues or the issue of appointing Poghos and dismissing Petros is resolved in one way while it is advantageous for another official that the issue is resolved in the opposite way. Driven by their palace and intrigue logic, they are sending different types of “signals” to the media. Here comes the “going over and over” and “variations”.

But there is a more important issue here, I think. I think that at least a part of our society and the media should take the next step toward maturity and talk not just about what exists but also how it should be. In other words, not about the personalities but the principles, institutions and mechanisms. In this case, the “elite” news apparently will go back to the second plan.
