“PAP shares one common opinion on this. It is necessary to seek the ways of solving technical and quality problems rather than to indicate that there are problems, and the activity is suspended,” such an opinion was expressed by PAP secretary Vahe Enfiajyan, in an interview with Aravot.am, referring to operation or non-operation of regional television companies. Mr. Enfiajyan attended the discussion on “Digitization of broadcasting and the challenges associated with it for the television companies operating in the regions.” We asked him to comment on the opinion of the representatives of regional TV companies that giving a right of digital broadcasting to only one channel reminds of a political order.
“Personally, I have no such information but I think that such political manifestations pop up quickly, and it can be the most desirable manifestation ahead of the elections. If this is an order, definitely it should be by the government representatives. This will have a very bad impact not only on Armenia’s domestic political and social processes but also on the estimates regarding our country at the international platforms,” said Vahe Enfiajyan.
