Pastime

When a politician says that there are 100 cars in given government ministry and each one costs 200 thousand dollars it should be perceived not straightforwardly but in a metaphorical sense.  In other words, “a ministry has many luxury cars without the actual need for it” which is very likely.  As to how many cars there are in this-or-that ministry or, let’s say, in the balance of the Central Bank and what their practical use is, is unknown.  This information should be placed on the official website of given Ministry, therewith the conversations would become more substantive.

However, there are “populist allegations” which are obviously a lie.  Look, this is Galust Sahakyan’s castle.  I am not a fan of the Speaker of the National Assembly, moreover, his party.  I do not think that Mr. Sahakyan is the uncle of Cicero or Spinoza.  On the other hand, I am following politicians for many years due to my work.  I would not say that Galust Sahakyan is a temperate person but in everyday life, he is notable with some restraint, he, for instance, has not moved to the governmental countryside houses though he has the right to do so.  Hardly, he would change himself at this age.  It became clear very quickly that the castle depicted in the photo has nothing to do with the Speaker of the National Assembly and any of his relatives.  As it usually happens, nobody apologizes for the lie.

The same defense minister Vigen Sargsyan who has an apartment in one of the buildings on North Avenue but despite the press does not have a castle in this Avenue (as far as I know there is no private house there at all).  In this case, I doubt that the real corrupt officials just want to distract attention from them.

I understand the desire of people to say something bad in front of the friends’, family, Facebook or political audience.  Because if I say, “What a wonderful autumn”, then it will not become a stimulus for “interesting” conversation. But if I say, for example, “This Taron …”, then immediately everyone will become active and will begin intensively be involved in the conversation “and what this one”, “and what about that one”, “the other day I read the following on the Internet”, “you know, the other day my brother-in-law was saying …”  And people will spend a wonderful time around this conversation.

To create such a cozy and warm atmosphere, it is just necessary to say something bad about any famous figure.  But in fact, there is so much to say that there is absolutely no need to concoct.
