Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan was unanimously re-elected as Chairman of the Republican Party (RPA) on Saturday at the 16th convention of the ruling political force.
RPA Council member, Yerevan Mayor Taron Margaryan put forward Serzh Sargsyan’s candidature, underlying the president’s rich political experience, trust in him, as well as the proposals of the delegates received from the party territorial branches.
With no other proposals submitted the unanimous vote in favor declared Serzh Sargsyan as chairman of the party.
