On November 26, the solemn opening ceremony of the XVI Summit of the International Organization of La Francophonie took place in Antananarivo, attended by the high-level delegations of 84 member, associate and observer states of the Organization. Edward Nalbandian, Foreign Minister of Armenia, heads the Armenian delegation participating in the Summit.
The Final Declaration of the Summit, Resolution on the Settlement of Crisis Situations and Enhancement of Peace, “Water, peace, Security” Resolution, “Intercultural Cooperation as a Factor of Sustainable development” Resolution, as well as resolutions on investments in healthcare sector, transport security, a number of other documents are presented to the approval of the highest body of the La Francophonie.
At the beginning of the Summit, Madagascar assumed the Presidency of the International Organization of La Francophonie from Senegal.
Edward Nalbandian, Foreign Minister of Armenia, will deliver remarks at the Summit.
