By the principle of negation

November 29,2016 11:15

Imagine, a citizen who does not take a bribe, has no debts for gas and electricity, successfully repays his loans from time to time, is not exposed to any administrative pressure, does not have any friend in the responsible positions and wants to freely express his will in the elections.  Suppose, this citizen does not want to vote for RPA and any political parties cooperating with this political party.  What do other parties offer him?

Personally, a few other standards are important for me.  That the political party unanimously and without a “but” and reservations rejects an armed political struggle, an armed uprising irrespective of what wonderful goals are pursued by this uprising.  Therewith, the list of political parties in Armenia is significantly reduced.  That the elements of the cult of leader are missing in the political party. The political parties do not have the need to glorify their leader opportune or inopportune.  That there are no Bolshevik trends in the political party:  we are the right ones, we have always been right and never wrong, those who find fault with us are scoundrels and so on.  As you can see, the “circle is narrowed” again.

Ultimately, my imagined political party should be in favor of liberal, European and Christian values.  I have listed them one after the other with the understanding that they do not match in 100 percent, and for example, socialism is also a European value.  The combination of these values is important for me.  The man relies only on himself, his work, his abilities, his creative potential and does not expect that the state and the authorities must take good care of him and think about him.  On the other hand, he does not envy anyone, he rejoices over everybody’s success, does not impose his lifestyle and views on anyone and does not feel hostility and hatred to anybody.

I do not know whether there is such a party that advocates such a thing.  Hardly.  Because it is not beneficial to advocate such things.  It is beneficial to inspire hope that sooner or later a super powerful person will come, will hit the table with his fist and all the rich will “return their devoured money to the people” and the latter will begin to live well as a result of this simple action.  Any political party campaign aims to “keep bright” these primitive instincts.  This is true naturally not only in Armenia.  But with the post-Soviet people, these complexes gulps the entire public life.

… No, it seems to me that there is no political party to my liking.
