President Serzh Sargsyan received today the Head of the Special Investigative Service of Lithuania Saulius Urbanavichius.
The interlocutors discussed issues pertinent to the strengthening of the Armenian-Lithuanian interstate relations. They stressed the importance of developing cooperation in different areas and exchange of experience. In that context, the President of Armenia and the Head of the Special Investigative Service of Lithuania Saulius Urbanavichius highlighted the necessity of interagency cooperation and active contacts. Speaking of about 20 years long cooperation between the Special Investigative Service of Armenia and the Special Investigative Service of Lithuania and importance of experience exchange, the parties expressed confidence that the cooperation will considerably promote efficiency of the resolution of the problems facing the two structures, mutual assistance in the fight against corruption, protectionism and other crimes as well as will uphold the rule of law.
Saulius Urbanavichius spoke with satisfaction about his meetings and discussions with the Armenian colleagues held in the framework of the visit and underscored that in the framework of the EU Partnership Program development of cooperation with Armenia is among Lithuania’s priorities.
