The Azerbaijani forces have violated the ceasefire across the entire Line of Contact between Nagorno Karabakh and Azerbaijan on December 1-2. According to the report by NKR Defense Army, more intensive violations were recorded in the eastern direction of the Line of Contact, where along with firearms of different calibers the adversary applied 60mm and 82mm mortars (9 shells) as well as automatic grenade launcher (1 shell).
Over the mentioned period, the adversary violated the ceasefire regime for 125 times, firing over 2,000 shots towards the Armenian frontier troops.
The Armenian side sustained no losses in the result of the ceasefire violation, the statement details.
NKR Defense Army next dismissed Azerbaijani media reports about ‘severe clashes in the eastern direction of the Azerbaijani-Karabakh borderline” and allegation of “one killed and 9 wounded from the Armenian side”, labeling it as ‘another disinformation’.
The Defense Army vanguard units have been continuing carrying out their combat duties since yesterday and retaliate in case of urgent necessity. The situation as of morning, December 2 is calm, the statement adds.
