Crisis Management Center at Armenia’s Ministry of Emergency receives periodic updates from the Georgian side about the situation at the Lars checkpoint on the Armenian-Georgian border. As the press department of the ministry reports, the road remains closed as of 08:00 December 5 due to the snow-slip.
According to the source, 558 vehicles, including 120 cars, 13 microbuses, 5 buses, and 420 trucks are accumulated on the road.
Two temporary shelters as well as a KUNG type of pickup truck are deployed near the checkpoint, the source added.
