On September 21, the “Justice in Armenia” initiative created by the initiative of Diaspora Armenian cultural figures intend to carry out an observation mission in the upcoming parliamentary elections. The journalists learned about this from the Canadian Armenian actress and producer Arsine Khanjyan, Atom Egoyan’s wife. She said that more than 4000 Diaspora Armenians have signed underneath the initiative. Speaking about the local self-government elections and the public revolt following the actions of “Sasna Tsrer”, Arsine Khanjyan emphasized that the human rights are violated, “The citizens’ anger resulted in the military operations in our country.”
According to the actress, the Diaspora is concerned about the Armenian reality, “There is a political unhealthy atmosphere, emigration, monopolies have stifled the competition.” Referring to the activities of RA Prime Minister Karen Karapetyan, Arsine Khanjyan expressed an opinion that the government reforms are not clear for the citizens and the Diaspora.
