The “Justice in Armenia” initiative created by the initiative of Diaspora Armenian cultural figures intend to carry out an observation mission in the upcoming parliamentary elections. Literary critic Davit Gasparyan, in a conversation with Aravot.am, said that he has a positive attitude to this initiative which can also stimulate the intellectuals living in Armenia, “However, the presence of fair and honest people will contribute to conduct fair and free elections. I highly appreciate the role of the intellectual in our public life and consciousness. Our intellectuals should have their civil position to the benefit and in favor of our country to bring out of the difficult situation.”
Davit Gasparyan considers the Diaspora, in this case, can serve as a stimulus, “There is a sort of indifference, despair in our people that needs to be shaken and sober in favor for the top one which is called an Armenian world.” We asked whether the literary critic is ready to join the initiative, Davit Gasparyan replied that he is kindly ready to be involved in the activities of the initiative.
