Prime Minister Karen Karapetyan received the Asian Development Bank (ADB) Delegation to Armenia, headed by ADB Armenia Office Director Shane Rosenthal.
The Premier said to be pleased with the cooperation with the Asian Development Bank and the effective implementation of a number of programs covering different sectors. With reference to the priorities of the Armenian government, the Prime Minister gave details of the ongoing reform in the system of public administration, the establishment of the Center of Strategic Initiatives and, in this context, highlighted the Bank’s eventual involvement in these endeavors.
Appreciating the current level of cooperation with Armenia, Shane Rosenthal noted that flexible in its policies, the Asian Development Bank is ready not only to continue supporting the joint initiatives, but also to explore the existing needs and help the Government push ahead with the implementation of its priorities.
The parties discussed issues relevant to transport, energy, infrastructure, support of the private sector, as well as the prospects of bilateral cooperation.

Stressing the importance of implementing different programs based on the principle of public-private sector partnership, which can promote business activities, Prime Minister Karapetyan instructed those responsible to discuss with the Bank the steps to take in this direction.
