On December 8, on the sidelines of the 23rd meeting of the Ministerial Council of the OSCE participating States in Hamburg, Foreign Minister Edward Nalbandian had a meeting with Sven Mikser, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Estonia.
At the beginning of the meeting Edward Nalbandian congratulated Sven Mikser on assuming the office of the Foreign Minister of Estonia and expressed hope that through joint efforts a new impetus will be given to the bilateral cooperation.
The Foreign Minister of Armenia commended the positive dynamics in the political dialogue between Armenia and Estonia underlining Armenia’s interest in developing and strengthening the Armenian-Estonian relations. The necessity to expand legal framework was emphasized as an important step in that direction.
During the meeting, the process of negotiations over the Armenia-European Union new framework agreement was discussed, the importance of launching dialogue on visa liberalization was stressed.

Upon request of the Estonian counterpart the Foreign Minister of Armenia presented the efforts exerted by Armenia and the OSCE Minsk Group Co-Chairs aimed at creating conducive conditions for the advancement of the settlement process of the Nagorno-Karabakh issue. Within this context Edward Nalbandian mentioned that Armenia highly values Estonia’s balanced stance with regard to the issue of settlement of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict.
