On December 8, on the sidelines of the 23rd meeting of the OSCE Ministerial Council, Foreign Minister Edward Nalbandian had a meeting with Frank-Walter Steinmeier, Foreign Minister of Germany and the OSCE Chairperson-in-Office.
Within the context of the OSCE German Chairmanship views were exchanged on the activity of the Organization and on issues related to the agenda of the Hamburg Ministerial Council.
Minister Nalbandian highly appreciated the support of the OSCE German Chairmanship to the efforts of the OSCE Minsk Group Co-Chairs aimed at the exclusively peaceful settlement of the Nagorno-Karabakh issue.
Within the context of the Nagorno-Karabakh settlement process Edward Nalbandian drew OSCE Chairperson-in-Office Frank-Walter Steinmeier’s attention to the fact that Azerbaijan refuses to implement the agreements reached during the Vienna and St. Petersburg Summits and aimed at creating conducive conditions for the advancement of the settlement process of the issue, furthermore, it continues to escalate the situation along the Line of Contact between Azerbaijan and Nagorno-Karabakh.
