“The connections between people are important in the framework of economic relations. Visa should not become a barrier to people to be able to travel for business and other purposes,” – said Deputy Minister of RA Economic Development and Investments, Garegin Melkonyan, in a conversation with reporters, referring to the question raised in the parliament lately that a free visa regime is set between the European Union and Georgia, so whether it is possible for Armenia to receive such a good news.
He reminded that Armenia signed a visa liberalization treaty with the EU which operates, “The next phase is the liberalization, without a visa regime which my colleagues at the Foreign Ministry have some discussions. I hope that in the near future we will be able to come to one conclusion to launch the negotiations.”
The deputy minister added that no terms are defined for the mentioned purpose, everything depends on the process.
