President of the Football Federation of Armenia (FFA) Ruben Hayrapetyan and the President of Football Federation of Islamic Republic of Iran (IFF) Mehdi Taj signed a memorandum of understanding on December 10 between the two federations aimed at increasing the level of football cooperation and the deepening of the relations.
As FFA reports in a released statement, Mehdi Taj stated the Iranian National team had training sessions in Armenia and they enjoyed much.
“The memorandum now comes to increase the interactions between the football agencies of the two countries that had rich cooperation history,” added President of Football Federation of Iran.
Ruben Hayrapetyan on his part noted the friendlies played with both the Iranian National and the Mini Football teams. “Any interaction is mutually beneficial in terms of sharing experience for the development of football and will yield good results. Iran and Armenia are located close to each other. The initiative came from their side for which I am very thankful,” Hayrapetyan stated.
