The symphony “Centuria S-Quark” by Stas Namin will be presented by the State Youth Orchestra of Armenia (Artistic Director and Principal Conductor Sergey Smbatyan) as a part of Stas Namin’s creative days on December 19 at 19:00 at the Aram Khachaturian Concert Hall.
Namin started writing this large-scale work in 2014. In 2016 the author finished the score. This year in July Namin’s symphony was recorded at Abbey Road Studios with the London Symphony Orchestra, conducted by Lee Reynolds.
The famous musician, composer, artist, director and producer, Armenian by origin Stas Namin is celebrating his 65th anniversary. As part of the anniversary, from December 14 to December 20 creative days of Stas Namin will be held in Armenia.
Stas Namin is one of the most important figures in contemporary Russian culture, one of the founders of Russian rock. For over 15 years, he is the Artistic Director of the Moscow Music and Drama Theatre.
