Overnight December 12-13, the adversary violated the ceasefire along the Line of Contact between Nagorno Karabakh and Azerbaijan more than 60 times firing over 900 shots towards the Armenian frontier troops from weapons of different calibers. As the Press Service of the NKR Defense Ministry reports in a released statement, the Azerbaijani forces made more intensive violations in the southern (Hadrut) and eastern (Martuni) directions where in addition to heavy machine guns and assault rifles, the adversary also applied SVD and Istiglal sniper rifles (93 shots).
NKR Defense Army forces mainly refrained from taking retaliatory actions against the ineffective Azerbaijani fire and continued confidently defending the military positions.
“Regarding the statement released yesterday by the Azerbaijani agitprop claiming that the Azerbaijani forces downed two Armenian UAVs it is nothing more than a regular untrue propaganda,” the statement of the Defense Ministry reads.
