Russia’s Hermitage Museum will host an exhibition dedicated to the 300th anniversary of the foundation of the Armenian Diocese of Russia and New Nakhijevan in 2017. The matter has been discussed on Tuesday at a meeting between His Holiness Karekin II, Supreme Patriarch and Catholicos of All Armenians and General Director of the State Hermitage Museum Mikhail Piotrovsky on a visit to Armenia.
As the press department of the Mother See of Holy Echmiadzin reported, at the initiative of Piotrovsky, number of events and master classes were planned to hold in in Echmiadzin within “Hermitage days in Armenia”.
The release next says the All-Armeian Catholicos has thanked Mr. Piotrovsky for assistance and recommendations in the restoration works and protection of the historical values of the Armenian Church.
