Armenian Minister of Transport, Communication and Information technologies Vahan Martirosyan visited today Stepantsminda-Lars pass to familiarize with the situation on the ground. As the press department at the ministry reports, an agreement was reached with responsible bodies at the border area with Russia and Georgia to organize the swift move of the trucks accumulated in the area once the weather conditions improve.
According to the release, the highway is open for passenger vehicles having up to 30 seats, while certain restrictions are envisaged for larger vehicles due to the continuing snowstorms and abundant snow.
