“The cooperation that is aimed at strengthening the Azerbaijani military forces, naturally, we should worry about them” – said NA Deputy Speaker Eduard Sharmazanov in a conversation with Aravot.am, referring to the information that Israel and Azerbaijan intend to form a strategic alliance enshrined by the document and supply modern weapons.
“Karabakh is in a conflict with Azerbaijan, and the arms race which Azerbaijan runs is a concern not only to us but also to the co-chairs. The countries and organizations that are interested in regional stability should worry about it. I think that the Hamburg statements are a call not for peace but for war. If after that, Azerbaijan is trying to deepen military cooperation with Israel, we cannot welcome it, but it should be an indicator for us to strengthen our arsenal too,” added Eduard Sharmazanov.
