The National Assembly of Armenia on Wednesday passed—in second reading—the bill on compensation for the damage caused to the lives or health of military servicemen while defending the country, and the accompanying draft laws.
The bill was approved with a vote of 98 for, 2 against, and one abstention.
These draft laws propose the deduction of 1,000 drams (about US$2) from the monthly salaries of people working in Armenia, and the use of these deductions for making insurance payments to the disabled soldiers, and families of the fallen military servicemen of the country.
