Stepantsminda-Lars highway at the crossing of the Russian-Georgian border is open only for passenger vehicles with antiskid chains, while 515 trucks are trapped at the Lars checkpoint from the Russian side, Emergency Situations Department at Georgia’s Ministry of Internal Affair reported.
Armenia’s Ministry of Transport and Communication reports that Vardenyats mountain pass is open as of 12:00 December 16, thought the road from Martuni direction remains barely passable due to severe wind.
A report from Armenia’s Ministry of Emergency Situations reads Tigranashen pass, Hrazdan-Jraratavan, Gyumri-Vanadzor, Vanadzor-Stepanavan-Alaverdi, Vanadzor-Dilijan, intercommunal roads in Ashotsk and Aragats remain barely passable as of 12:00.
